Benefits of Membership
- Website – members are listed on the AHCSENC website and marketing materials.
- Advertising – members have sponsorship and advertising priority for AHCSENC events.
- Standard of Quality – members enjoy a positive reputation as advocates for affordable housing.
- Advocacy – members actively monitor political and legal issues that affect affordable housing in our area. We act as an informed advocate on issues and have standing to be heard before legislative staff and local regulators.
- News – members have access to the latest news in affordable housing.
- Resources – member agencies and organizations have access to resources they can use to improve the quality of affordable housing.
- Collaboration – members may collaborate on initiatives to facilitate adoption of affordable housing practices in Southeastern NC.
Responsibilities
Attendance – All members must regularly participate in and, where possible, attend the meetings of the AHCSENC. All members must read background materials and be prepared for meetings. Arrangements can be made for an alternate to be present.
Participation
- Monitoring and informing members of legal, procedural and other developments in the affordable housing arena.
- Organizing topics and speakers for AHCSENC meetings.
- Arranging summits and forums on relevant topics.
- Creating, organizing and implementing projects for the benefit of those with affordable housing needs.
